The Peoples House

The organization of the coop begins in what we denominated as “La Casa del Pueblo”, or in English, “The Peoples House”. This is the central hub of the community. The Peoples House was first built in 1998 in what was then a hospital, and since 2001 and until today it is the building where the administration of the coop is located. This is the place of work for the general manager, an accountant, the industrial manager, a receptionist and the board of directors, constituted by the president, vice president, the secretary, the treasurer, and the speaker.
Inside this building you can find the communications centre of the coop built in with internet, telephone, and a public address system which we use to make announcements to the community and works as an alarm system in case of emergencies.
The hours of operation are between 8am to 5pm, Monday to Friday. All visitors are to go through this office.

Women’s Group
The Women’s Group is an autonomous committee in which all the women of our community can be a part of. It intends to empower women by creating opportunities for women to run and develop projects which will allow women to contribute an income to their homes.

Youth Group
Our youth is the future of Nuevo Horizonte. The youth group attends to organizing initiatives that promote a healthy lifestyle such as sports and the arts. It also maintains our social networking media. We want our youth to be the ones who one day will think, plan, and execute the organizational model that our coop is trying to build
